The Director-General, Mr. O.A. The Director-General, ITF, who led the delegation of his top management expressed his appreciation towards the warm reception received from NECA. He noted that NECA was strategically chosen as the first point of contact given NECA’s role in the economy as the Umbrella Body of Employers in the Organised Private Sector (OPS).

ITF’s mission was also to ensure that its existing collaboration with NECA on the Technical Skills Development Project is resuscitated. He commended the initiative of the TSDProject, noting that it offered an all-round solution to youth unemployment. The Director-General, ITF used this opportunity to appeal to the Federal Ministry of Finance to note the collaboration of  the ITF & NECA as a perfect consortium to handle Skills and Manpower Development.  An MoU is currently been developed.

ITF presents its new Blueprint, Training Brochure and its Reviewed Vision to the DG, NECA

Sir John Ari during the meeting shared with NECA its new Blueprint, Training Brochure and its Reviewed Vision: Strategies for Mandate Actualization. These strategic documents he said were developed in his first four months in office. According to him, ITF’s reviewed Vision aligned with the Federal Government’s Socio-economic diversification programme, which is aimed at reducing unemployment.

The meeting ended with the Director, Learning and Development / Projects, NECA giving the closing remarks.  She noted that the Public Private Partnership of both organisations was tested with a proof of over a decade of successful initiatives.
