Peninscope Holds Public Lecture On Insurance, Pension

Peninscope Professional Warranty Limited, the publishers of the Pension scope Magazine has concluded plans to hold a public lecture on insurance and pension come Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Golden Tulip Essential Airport Hotel, 42/44 Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road, Lagos.
The theme of the lecture is tagged: “Government Policy as it affects various investment options of Pension and Insurance Funds in Nigeria”.
The 3-In-1 package, according to the organisers, include a public lecture, magazine launch and award to deserving institutions and individuals who have contributed immensely to the growth of insurance and pension industry.
Speaking on the event, Mr Peter Adediji, the group’s chairman and the convener of the conference said: “This year’s programme is aimed at looking at various government policies as they relate to investment of pension and insurance funds. It will also examine various investment options, as well as the effectiveness of regulatory bodies, the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), National Pension Commission (PenCom), the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) among other regulatory agencies’ in the performance of their statutory roles.
He added that Speakers and Discussants have been carefully selected to include: Dr. Umar Farouk: Head, Research and Strategy Management, PenCom, Mr. O.S Thomas: Deputy Commissioner of Insurance, Dr. Biodun Adedipe: Chief consultant, Biodun Adedipe & Associates, Mr. Olusegun Oshinowo: DG NECA, Dr. (Mrs.) Yeside Oyetayo: Rector, Center for Insurance and Financial Management Studies
